Course Registrations

For students registering for courses for the first time, their courses will be entered directly into the Student Information System by the Directorate.

Course Exemptions

Students who have previously attended another higher education institution may request exemptions for the courses they successfully completed in their former programs.

• Applications for exemption must be submitted within one month from the date of enrollment at the University.
• Exemption requests should be made to the relevant academic unit with the following documents:
  • Course Exemption Petition (available at the Student Affairs Directorate)
  • Official transcript issued by the Student Services Unit of the previously attended higher education institution. If the transcript does not include details of the grading system or the language of instruction, an additional document explaining these must be provided.
  • Course Descriptions: The original official document (signed and sealed by the University) showing the contents of the courses previously taken and for which exemption is requested.

Foreign Language Exemption Exams

• English Language Course Exemption Exam
  Students who wish to be exempt from the University’s English language courses must sit the exemption exam, which will be held on the date announced in the academic calendar.
• Compulsory Preparatory Class Exemption Exam
  Students who wish to be exempt from the compulsory English Preparatory Class must also take the exemption exam on the date announced in the academic calendar.
